Lake Tully: A7s with 35mm F2.8
This weekend, we took an overnight camping trip to Lake Tully. It rained a little but it was fun camping. I only took the Sony A7s with the 35mm F2.8 and the 55 1.8. Most shots are with the 35mm as it’s such an easy and light set up for run and gun. This footage ended up at 60p simply because I forgot that I had changed the setting to 60p the last time I used the camera and didn’t bother to check before shooting! Duh! But I think I learned here that I really don’t like the 60p motion. These clips are the total number of clips I captured during this trip. I was running behind the family on the hike and annoying everyone! So, had little time to shoot. This is mostly handheld and stabilized in post. But some super stable shots are with a travel tripod. A7s is a nice, compact package. I can’t wait to try the A7r ii. Here, some shots were in the PP7 and some were in Brandon Lee’s Authum Leaves Profile. I think I’m more comfortable color correcting and grading SLOG 2 than the creative profiles. The only problem is the high ISO and the shutter and I dont have any ND filter for either lens. I’ll have to play around with this more but who has the time! LOL! The beautiful piano music is by Lubomer Melnyk, the master pianist. I love his work. Check him out on iTunes.
